Narayan Raghunath Zalkikar

We honor the life of Narayan Raghunath Zalkikar (“Anna”) who passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, surrounded by his entire family. Born on June 16, 1931, Anna is survived by his wife, Meera Zalkikar, his children: Jyoti Zalkikar and Swati Kulkarni, and his grandchildren: Rahul Zalkikar and Preeti Kulkarni.
Anna was one of eight children born in Maharashtra, India to Raghunath and Krishnabai Zalkikar. He went on to graduate from Khalsa College in Mumbai, India with Bachelor of Arts in Economics. After his graduation, he started a tenured, accomplished, and deeply fulfilling career with the Indian Postal Service, achieving senior leadership within the Indian Government as an Assistant Postmaster General (APMG).
After retirement, he spent his time writing and learning about various disciplines ranging from homeopathy to philosophy. Throughout his life, he loved to travel, enjoyed the arts, gardening, and was deeply invested in spirituality. He was a caring and devoted husband. Anna doted on his children and grandchildren, playing a formative role in their respective upbringings and growth.
He will be immensely missed and dearly loved.
