We are sad to share the passing of Jessica Sun Wade on December 9, 2024. She was born on January 31, 1983, in Manila, Philippines.

Jessica was preceded in death by her parents, Sun Hwan Wade and Bernard Wade, as well as her aunt, Judith Burroughs, and James Jordan, who raised her after her parents passed away in 1993. She is survived by her brother, Richard Wade. Despite these early losses, Jessica’s strength and kindness were evident to everyone who knew her.

Jessica enjoyed knitting and crocheting throughout her life, creating thoughtful and beautiful items for her loved ones. She faced lifelong health challenges with courage and a positive outlook, inspiring those around her.

She will be deeply missed by her friends, extended family, and all whose lives she touched. Her time with us was short, but her impact will be long-lasting.

A funeral mass will take place at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Rockville, MD, on January 4th at 12:00 PM, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD, at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Head Injury Rehabilitation and Referral Services (HIRRS), who cared for Jessica during her adult life.
